In his final play, Shakespeare examines such diverse issues as royal legitimacy, colonialism, the borderlines between science and magical thinking, and the limits of love, among other themes. In this four week course we will discuss how Shakespeare dramatizes these notions by blending tragedy and comedy into a new genre called romance.
