Dr. Kligler is a retired internist with incurable metastatic prostate cancer. As a practicing physician, he had extensive experience with end-of-life care. Now living in Falmouth, he volunteers with Compassion & Choices, the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit dedicated to improving care and  expanding options at the end of life.  Dr. Kligler works tirelessly to educate on medical aid in dying (MAiD) across the Commonwealth and among legislators to enable passage of legislation known as An Act Relative to End-of-Life Options. He is also suing the Commonwealth for the option of MAiD. Nine states and the District of Columbia currently authorize similar legislation.
