Mike will journey with us through a handful of our most famous stories, including Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, and many more. We will look at how these stories evolved – and how they’ve changed us. As a special treat, we will be partnering with The Academy Playhouse’s cast and crew of Into the Woods who, through song and conversation, will help us to understand some of the key types of characters in these essential tales. Registrants will receive copies of select versions of the stories we’ll be looking at and have the opportunity to read them before the course, if they like!
