Mission Statement

FRIENDS OF THE SNOW LIBRARY is a non-profit 501c(3) organization whose mission is to support the Snow Library, its Trustees and staff with programs, activities, books and equipment not provided by town appropriations.

The Friends provides a cultural bond with the citizens and visitors of Orleans through programs like Lifetime Learning, Book and Author Luncheons and many others.

The Friends is the fund raising arm of Snow Library.

Monies are raised through membership, book sales, Lifetime Learning and various special fund raising events. These funds assist with technical upgrades and allow for the depth and breadth of a collection unusual for a library of its size.

Snow Library has the distinct honor of being designated a Star Library by the Library Journal’s Index of Public Library Service
